Background

Brett Lohr is a Lighting Director, Programmer, and Head Electrician with over fifteen years of professional experience. Brett has lit concerts, theatre, operatic water shows, dance, comedy, architecture, corporate exibits, private parties, and live television & streaming.

Currently, Brett oversees the stage lighting at three premier music venues in New York and Southern Connecticut, The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT, and Westville Music Bowl, also in New Haven.

Prior to this, he was the Festival Lighting Designer/ Lighting Director for the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! concert series at the Prospect Park Bandshell for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.  

Early in his career, Brett had the opportunity to relocate to Macau, China for a two-year stint, 2009 to 2011, as the Lead Electrician and Alternate Lighting Console Operator for the creation and premiere of Franco Dragone’s The House of Dancing Water. 

Brett graduated from CUNY City Tech in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entertainment Technology. He is also a proud member of IATSE Local One in New York City as well as IATSE Local 74 in Southern Connecticut.
